Week 10 (June 17 - 23) Father’s Day Theme

  1. In 1916, US President Woodrow Wilson approved the idea of observing an annual Father's Day. Find the number 19 OR the number 16 OR 1916.

  2. Roses are the official flower for Father's Day. Take a photo of a rose or rose bush.

  3. The necktie is the most popular and number one of all Father's Day gifts according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Take a photo of yourself running in a necktie - dare you! Or find one on your walk or run. Get creative!

  4. Find the word DAD or POP.

  5. Find something that looks like a mustache.

  6. Find a heart to show your love of your dad or someone who is like a father to you.

  7. Sonora Smart Dodd was inspired by the American Mother's Day celebrations to plan a day to honor fathers. Find her initials “SSD”

  8. We honor all of the super hero dads out there! Find any superhero or superhero symbol.

  9. Find a male cardinal. Males are the bright red ones. Their female mates are mostly brown. Most male birds are more colorful than their mates to distract predators from the nests.

  10. Halsey Taylor invented the first drinking fountain as a dedication to his dad. Take a picture of a water fountain!
